"Aww! Look at them! They're all so cute!"

The lithe young man couldn't resist a stop at the pet store. Especially when the window displayed a pen full of fluffy baby rabbits. He just had to play with them, and tugged his friend's arm until the two boys were standing in front fo the fuzzy rodents.

"Genichiro, look at this one!" Yukimura lifted a brown lop-eared rabbit from the pen. "He's grumpy-looking!"

Ah, the other boy's light chuckle had such an effect on Sanada. He almost even cracked a smile. Almost. Instead he just said "if you were stuck in a cage all the time, you'd look grumpy too."

"That's why we should save him." A smile that could rival the sun. "Let's adopt him!"

"Seiichi, I don't think...."

"Pwease take me home wiz you." He giggled, waving the bunny's paw at Sanada. "Pwease~?"

That did it. The taller youth's heart melted at his friend's hopeful eyes, and he gave in. Just like he knew he would. "Fine, we'll adopt one. But remember that you're cleaning the cage."

"I promise."

But the rabbit squirmed, wriggling out of Yukimura's hands until it dropped back into the pen, and then scurried over to a fluffy blond bunny that had been grooming itself. Immediately the two animals began grooming each other.

"Oh look, he has a friend."

"Uh-oh..." Sanada knew exactly what was coming next.

"Let's get them both!"

"That's a bit..."

Yukimura turned to directly face his friend. Eyes shining, lower lip sticking out ever so slightly. "But Tezu-bun will be lonely without Ato-bun..."

"You've named them already?" A bat of the eyelashes was the only response he got, and that was the last straw. Defeated, Sanada waved over a sales-girl.

"Those two rabbits, please."

"Genichiro, they're so precious!" Yukimura beamed as they watched the bunnies cuddle in a corner of their new home.

"I'm glad you're happy with them. It's your Christmas present, after all."

"Genichiro!"

"They were a lot of money. Especially with the cage and all the stuff.."

The other chuckled, turning to face his friend. "Well thank you anyway. They're very sweet." And he pulled Sanada into a tight embrace, pressing close to him and wrapping arms that were much stronger than they looked around his waist. "You spoil me."

And Sanada leaned down, depositing a gentle kiss on Yukimura's lips.

"I know."
