Kimi to Zutto

Katou Kazuki woke from a semi-deep slumber by an incessant pounding at his door. It wasn't too late, but he had worked hard during the day, and was worn out enough to be quite perturbed at the interruption to his rest. Though his annoyance quickly faded away when he grew closer to the door of his apartment and heard a familiar and comforting voice calling "Kazu! Kazu! Kazu! Kazu!"

So he was prepared to see Shirota Yuu when he opened the door.

What he wasn't prepared for was being tackled to the floor before he even had a chance to speak. Though in retrospect, he realized he probably should have been.

"KAZU!" Shirota cuddled himself against Katou, rubbing his face against him and kissing every available part of him in between saying "It was for me, wasn't it!?" Kiss, kiss, kiss. "The song you wrote!" Kiss. "It was for me!"

Katou pushed him away, only far enough to get control of the situation. "What are you talking about?" He had a fairly good idea though.

With grin in place and eyes sparkling, "I listened to your new CD! And I saw you wrote the lyrics to one of the songs, and ... well Aiba pointed it out, but it seemed an awful lot like it could be written for me, huh? Well, that's what he said. So! So...it is, isn't it?"

Katou gave an amused chuckle at his lover. Tall and immature and beautiful and silly, and absolutely everything he never knew he'd ever wanted. It took a little while, but the feelings he'd written in song had reached their mark, and been conveyed. "It was," he answered simply.

When Shirota leaned down and kissed him, Katou became intensely aware of the position they were in. The weight of his lover on top of him, long fingers finding their way into his hair and up his shirt, as mouths played against each other. Their bodies and hearts tugged at each other, and it wasn't long before Katou found himself dragged, more than willingly, to the bedroom. His previous exhaustion was long forgotten.

It was much later when they laid together, sated and deeply satisfied. Shirota lay at Katou's side, one arm around him and the other trailing fingers up and down his bare chest. The digits walked their way up the plain and kicked Katou in the chin, then made a hasty retreat, moving to poke their prey lightly in the ribs. Katou grabbed the vicious hand, biting the fingers gently, and then kissing them even more so.

"I was afraid," he said after a moment. "After the first musical I was afraid I'd never see you again. And then they announced the winter show, and I was so happy. Getting to work with you and grow closer to you; being able to love you has made me happiest of all."

He could feel Shirota smile against him, while singing softly "Forever and ever, with you."

And he finished the line.

"For all time."
