"Tell me about something wonderful. Tell me about...me."

Tezuka rolled his eyes, even as he smiled softly. Oftentimes people found his lover to be overly proud and egotistical, but he was used to it. Much time had passed since annoyance turned more to amusement at the man's boastful nature. And it wasn't like Atobe ever had to lie to make himself look better; every grand claim he made was true, sure enough. He liked to show off, and Tezuka had come to love that part of him as much as any other.

They laid together in bed on a calm Sunday morning. Both having the day off, they relished the rare chance to sleep in and spend precious time simply being close. Atobe lay partially on top of Tezuka, his head propped up in one hand as their bare chests pressed together, and his eyes twinkled playfully as he made the request. "Tell me why you love me so much."

He didn't know what to say. To Tezuka, Atobe had everything one could ever want in a partner: strength, intelligence, culture, beauty, a balanced body and mind, and a passionate heart. How could he not love him so much? He made him feel, more deeply than he'd ever felt before, about anything. Wanted that confident smile to smile for him, more than he'd ever wanted anything before.

He really didn't know where to begin.

"Ah," Atobe spoke again when silence had lingered. "There is just so much you are speechless, ah~n?"

And Tezuka smiled again, though really that was about right. Though it sounded more conceited the way Atobe put it. So Tezuka put his hands to his lover's face, gently cupping his chin and running a thumb over his smooth lips, then replied "Because even when I don't have the words to say, it's ok. You already know."

Atobe was satisfied with that.
